The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) is the state's principal art museum, housed in a modernist building in the Perth Cultural Centre. Its collection spans over 18,000 works from traditional Aboriginal art to contemporary Australian and international pieces.

History
Founded in 1895, the gallery moved to its present purpose-built home in 1979. A major extension was completed in 2004, doubling the display space and creating the rooftop Sculpture Terrace.
