Howard Smith Wharves is a heritage wharf precinct tucked beneath the Story Bridge on the banks of the Brisbane River. The beautifully restored 1930s warehouses now house restaurants, craft breweries, an art-hotel, and event spaces within landscaped riverside grounds.
Built in the 1930s and 1940s as cargo wharves for the Port of Brisbane, the site was abandoned when port operations moved downstream. After a $180 million redevelopment, Howard Smith Wharves reopened in 2018 and has since become one of Brisbane's most popular leisure precincts.
