Mount Dajt National Park (Parku Kombëtar i Malit të Dajtit) rises to 1,613 metres on Tirana's eastern doorstep, offering hiking trails, panoramic viewpoints, and fresh mountain air just a 15-minute cable car ride from the city.

History
Declared a national park in 1966, the 29,000-hectare reserve protects diverse Mediterranean and sub-Alpine ecosystems. The area was used as a military zone during the communist period, and several former bunkers are still visible along trails.
