Bunk'Art 2

Overview

Bunk'Art 2 is a downtown nuclear bunker beneath the Ministry of Internal Affairs, transformed into a museum focused on the Sigurimi — Albania's feared communist-era secret police. Smaller and more intense than Bunk'Art 1, it tells the deeply personal stories of political persecution.

History

Built in the 1980s as a civil defence shelter, the bunker sits beneath what was once the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It opened as a museum in 2016, four years after its counterpart on Mount Dajt.
