Nano Nagle Place is a heritage centre and garden on Douglas Street, built around the 18th-century South Presentation Convent founded by Nano Nagle, pioneer of Catholic education in Ireland.
Nano Nagle (1718–1784) defied the Penal Laws to secretly educate poor Catholic children. She founded the Presentation Sisters in 1775. The convent complex was closed in 2004 and, after a €16 million restoration, reopened as a public heritage site in 2017.
