Overview

Escape to Freight Island is a sprawling social dining and entertainment venue set inside the 140-year-old Mayfield railway depot. With multiple street food kitchens, cocktail bars, live music stages and event spaces, it's one of Manchester's most exciting new destinations.

History

The Mayfield depot served as a parcels and goods station from the 1880s until closure in 1986. The Escape to Freight Island concept launched in 2020 as the anchor tenant of the Mayfield regeneration project.
