Glasgow Tower is the tallest freestanding structure in Scotland at 127 metres and the tallest fully rotating freestanding tower in the world. It offers 360-degree panoramic views.
Completed in 2001 as part of the Glasgow Science Centre development. It has had a troubled operational history and is frequently closed for maintenance or during high winds.
Note (2026): The Glasgow Tower reopened in Spring 2026 after a period of closure. Operates seasonally Apr–Oct, weather-permitting; check Glasgow Science Centre website before visiting.
