Thermae Bath Spa is Britain's only natural thermal spa, where visitors can bathe in the same mineral-rich waters that attracted the Romans over 2,000 years ago. The modern building, designed by Nicholas Grimshaw, features a stunning open-air rooftop pool with panoramic views across Bath's skyline.
Bath's hot springs have been used for bathing for at least 10,000 years. After the Roman baths fell into disuse, the springs were developed into various bathing facilities over the centuries. Thermae Bath Spa opened in 2006 at a cost of £45 million, incorporating the historic Cross Bath and Hot Bath into a modern complex.
