The Bath Skyline Walk is a 6-mile (9.7 km) circular route managed by the National Trust, leading through ancient woodland, meadows, and Roman-era sites on the hills above Bath. The walk offers consistently spectacular views across the city and passes through one of the richest archaeological landscapes in Britain.
The National Trust acquired much of the land along the skyline route to protect Bath's green setting. The landscape is rich in archaeology, with evidence of occupation from the Iron Age through Roman and medieval periods. The woods along the route have been managed for centuries and contain veteran trees of significant ecological value.
