Miramar Palace is a former royal summer residence perched on the headland dividing La Concha and Ondarreta beaches. Designed in the English cottage style, it sits in manicured gardens with sweeping views over both bays.
Built in 1893 for Queen Regent María Cristina as her summer palace, Miramar hosted the Spanish royal court every summer until the 1930s. It was donated to the city in 1972 and now serves as part of the University of the Basque Country's summer campus.
