Portixol Promenade

Overview

Portixol is a once-sleepy fishing village on Palma's eastern waterfront, now a chic and inviting neighbourhood prised for its cycling path, independent restaurants, and village-square atmosphere — all framed by views back toward the cathedral.

History

Portixol (and adjacent Molinar) were independent fishing hamlets until absorbed by Palma's expansion in the 20th century. The area's renaissance began in the early 2000s with the opening of boutique hotels and design-led eateries.
