Street Art in Soho

Overview

Soho Málaga is the city's self-proclaimed 'arts district', a grid of streets south of the Alameda Principal transformed by large-scale murals from international street artists. The MAUS (Málaga Arte Urbano Soho) project turned blank walls into an open-air gallery.

History

The MAUS project launched in 2013, inviting internationally renowned street artists to paint building facades. The initiative catalysed the regeneration of a previously overlooked neighbourhood.

• Best light: Morning light on the east-facing walls, evening on the west.
