History
The viewpoint sits beside the 14th-century Gibralfaro Castle and has been a landmark lookout since Phoenician times, when a lighthouse stood on the hilltop.

- Access: Walk up from the Alcazaba (steep, 20 minutes) or take bus 35.
- Bring water: No shade on the final approach.
- Duration: 15–20 minutes.
