Lilla Torg ("Little Square") is a cozy cobblestoned square in the heart of Malmö's old town, surrounded by charming 16th- to 18th-century half-timbered and brick buildings. It is the city's most popular outdoor gathering place.
The square was created in the early 16th century as a secondary market space. Unlike Stortorget, which served ceremonies, Lilla Torg was the town's everyday trading hub. Its intimate scale has preserved its medieval character.
