The Disgusting Food Museum challenges visitors to explore 80+ of the world's most culturally provocative foods, from Swedish surströmming to Sardinian casu marzu. Opened in 2018 in Malmö, it uses disgust as a lens to examine food culture.
Founded by Samuel West (also behind the Museum of Failure), the museum opened in 2018 with a mission to challenge food norms and promote sustainability — many "disgusting" foods like insects are environmentally friendlier than conventional protein.
