Strahinjića Bana Street, locally known as 'Silicone Valley,' is Belgrade's trendiest café-bar strip. Running through the upper Dorćol neighborhood, it is lined with stylish terraces, cocktail bars, and see-and-be-seen crowds from afternoon until well past midnight.
Named after a medieval Serbian knight, the street was a quiet residential road until the 2000s, when a wave of upscale cafés transformed it into Belgrade's social epicenter. The nickname 'Silicone Valley' (a play on Silicon Valley) refers to its glamorous clientele.
