Housed inside Belgrade Fortress, the Military Museum presents Serbian military history from the Roman legions to the 1999 NATO campaign. Its collection of over 30,000 objects includes weapons, uniforms, maps, and a wreckage section of a downed F-117 Stealth aircraft.
The museum was founded in 1878, making it one of the oldest military museums in the Balkans. Its collection spans the Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, Napoleonic, and modern eras, reflecting Belgrade's history as one of Europe's most fought-over cities.
