Kalenić Market is Belgrade's most popular farmers' market, occupying a large covered and open-air space in the Vračar district. It's where Belgrade's home cooks shop for fresh produce, dairy, and meats, and the surrounding streets bustle with bakeries and delis.
The market has operated since the 1930s and is named after the medieval Kalenić Monastery in central Serbia. The current structure was last renovated in the 1990s. It remains the neighborhood's social anchor, especially on Saturday mornings.
