Skostredet is Bergen's creative quarter, a narrow street and surrounding lanes just south of the harbour packed with independent boutiques, design studios, vintage shops, and specialty cafés. It has become the go-to neighbourhood for emerging Norwegian design and street art.
Skostredet ('Shoe Street') was historically Bergen's shoemaking district. After decades of decline, a wave of young entrepreneurs and artists revitalised the area in the 2010s, turning it into the city's trendiest neighbourhood.
