Hotel New York is a landmark waterfront building that served as the former headquarters of the Holland America Line. Millions of European emigrants passed through this building en route to the Americas. It is now a hotel and grand café.
Built between 1901 and 1917 as the Holland America Line's head office. The company operated passenger ships from Wilhelminakade, carrying millions of emigrants to New York. The building became a hotel in 1993, spearheading the Kop van Zuid regeneration.
