Arboretum Trompenburg is a historic botanical garden spanning 7 hectares, home to over 3,000 tree and plant species. Founded in 1820, it is one of the finest arboreta in the Netherlands and a peaceful escape from the city.
Established in 1820 by the Hoboken shipping family on their country estate. The family maintained and expanded the collection for generations until it was opened to the public in 1960. Today it serves as both a public garden and a botanical research institution.
