Lungadige San Giorgio is the charming left-bank quarter directly across from the old town, reached via Ponte Pietra. Its narrow cobbled lanes wind between small churches, artisan workshops, and traditional trattorias, offering an authentic slice of Veronese daily life.
This quarter developed outside the original Roman walls on the eastern bank of the Adige. The church of San Giorgio in Braida dates to the 15th century and was designed by Michele Sanmicheli. The neighborhood retains its residential character despite increasing visitor interest.
