The Sottomarino Nazario Sauro (S-518) is a decommissioned Italian Navy Toti-class submarine moored at Porto Antico, offering an immersive tour through its cramped interior. Part of the Galata Maritime Museum complex, it lets visitors experience life aboard a Cold War-era submarine.
The Nazario Sauro was launched in 1976 and served in the Italian Navy until 2002, primarily patrolling the Mediterranean during the Cold War. After decommissioning, it was transported to Porto Antico in 2010 and opened as a museum ship as part of the Galata complex.
