The Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi is a spectacular 2 km clifftop promenade carved into the rocky coastline at Nervi. Perched above turquoise waters with views toward Portofino, it is one of the most scenic coastal walks in the Italian Riviera — and it's entirely within Genoa's city limits.
The promenade was built in the early 20th century as a seaside recreational path, named after Anita Garibaldi, the Brazilian wife of Italian unification hero Giuseppe Garibaldi. It has been continuously maintained and is now Genoa's most beloved seaside walk.
