Seih Sou (Kedrinos Lofos) is a large suburban forest on the hills northeast of Thessaloniki, offering hiking trails, mountain biking paths, and a welcome escape from the urban heat. At 3,000 hectares, it is one of the largest urban forests in southeastern Europe.
The forest was systematically planted in the early 20th century as part of reforestation efforts after centuries of deforestation. It has since become the city's primary green lung.
