Ladadika is Thessaloniki's most vibrant nightlife and dining district, a cluster of restored 19th-century warehouses and oil merchants' shops transformed into bars, restaurants, and clubs. By day it's a photogenic neighborhood; by night it pulses with energy.
The name comes from "ladi" (oil) — this was the olive oil trading district in the 19th century. By the 1990s the area had become derelict, but a major restoration project turned it into the city's premier entertainment quarter.
