Firostefani is a tranquil village perched on the caldera rim between Fira and Imerovigli, best known as the home of the Three Bells of Fira — the iconic blue-domed church that has become Santorini's most reproduced image. Despite its fame, the village maintains a quieter, more residential atmosphere than its neighbors.
Firostefani ("crown of Fira") was historically considered a suburb of the capital, sitting slightly higher on the caldera rim. The village's name reflects its position at the highest point of the Fira metropolitan area. Many buildings were destroyed in the 1956 earthquake, and the village was rebuilt with a mix of traditional and modern Cycladic architecture.
