St Paul's Bay is a near-enclosed natural harbour beneath the Lindos acropolis — a small, perfectly sheltered cove with crystal-clear water, a tiny sand beach, and a whitewashed chapel overlooking the bay.
According to tradition, the Apostle Paul landed here in 51 AD to preach Christianity to the Rhodians. A violent storm opened a gap in the rocks, allowing his ship to shelter in the bay. The chapel was built to commemorate the event.
