Overview

Seven Springs (Epta Piges) is a forested oasis in the hills above the east coast, where seven natural springs feed streams and pools beneath a canopy of pine and plane trees. A narrow, pitch-dark tunnel (an Italian-era aqueduct) leads to a hidden lake.

History

The seven springs have likely been known since antiquity. During the Italian period (1912–1943), engineers built the tunnel to channel water into a reservoir for irrigating the Kolymbia citrus plantations below. The site became a picnic destination and remains popular with locals.
