Kallithea Springs is a stunning 1929 Art Deco spa complex on the east coast, built by the Italians over natural thermal springs in a rocky seaside setting. Beautifully restored in 2007, it's now a cultural venue and bathing spot.
The healing springs were known since antiquity — Hippocrates reportedly recommended the waters. The Italian governor commissioned architect P. Lombardi to create the spa in 1929. It fell into disrepair after World War II but was magnificently restored in 2007.
