Ornos Beach

Ornos is a family-friendly crescent of sand with calm, shallow water just 2.5 km south of Mykonos Town. The beach fronts a small village with tavernas, mini-markets, and a relaxed atmosphere far from the party scene.

History

Ornos was one of the earliest tourist beaches on Mykonos, developed in the 1970s as a low-key alternative to the party beaches. Its proximity to town and calm water made it popular with families and repeat visitors.

• Bus or Walk: Only a 10-minute bus ride or 30-minute walk from Mykonos Town.
• Delos Boats: Some Delos excursion boats depart from Ornos rather than the old port.
