The Folklore Museum is set in an 18th-century sea captain's house steps from the Paraportiani Church, offering a window into traditional Mykonian domestic life through period furnishings, textiles, and everyday objects.
Established in 1958 by the Mykonos Association of Friends of Folklore, the museum preserves the traditional way of life that was rapidly disappearing as tourism transformed the island. It is the oldest folklore museum in the Cyclades.
