Aegean Maritime Museum

Overview

The Aegean Maritime Museum is housed in a traditional Mykonian residence in the heart of Chora, dedicated to preserving the nautical heritage of the Aegean. Ship models, navigational instruments, and rare maps trace millennia of seafaring.

History

Founded in 1985 by George M. Drakopoulos, the museum grew from a private collection into one of Greece's most respected maritime museums. It received the World Ship Trust Award and the Athens Academy Award.
