Borisova Gradina (Boris's Garden) is Sofia's oldest and most beloved park, created in 1884. Spanning 360 hectares, it is a green sanctuary in the centre of the city with lakes, sports facilities, and mature tree-lined avenues.
The park was designed in 1884 by Swiss gardener Daniel Neff and was initially called 'Tsar's Garden.' Renamed after Tsar Boris III in 1934, it was further expanded during the Communist era with sports facilities including the Vasil Levski stadium.
