The MSK (Museum voor Schone Kunsten) is Ghent's fine arts museum, holding a collection spanning from medieval Flemish primitives to 20th-century Belgian art. Key works by Hieronymus Bosch, Rubens, and Magritte anchor the permanent collection.
Founded in 1798 during the French occupation, the museum moved to its purpose-built Neoclassical home in Citadelpark in 1902. A major renovation completed in 2007 modernized the galleries.
