Overview
Cankarjev dom is Slovenia's largest cultural and congress center, named after the writer Ivan Cankar. Its brutalist architecture houses multiple concert halls, theatres, and gallery spaces hosting a year-round program of music, dance, and visual arts.

History
Designed by architect Edvard Ravnikar (a Plečnik student), Cankarjev dom opened in 1982 as part of the Republic Square modernist complex. It has since hosted major international events including EU summits.
