The Stade Vélodrome is Olympique de Marseille's iconic 67,394-seat home ground — the largest stadium in France outside Paris and one of the most atmospheric venues in European football. Matchdays at the Vélodrome are a visceral, unforgettable Marseille experience.
Originally built in 1937, the stadium hosted matches during the 1938 and 1998 FIFA World Cups and Euro 2016. A major renovation completed in 2014 expanded capacity and added the distinctive continuous roof. It is named for the cycling track (vélodrome) that originally surrounded the pitch.
