History

Created in the 1990s as part of a broader effort to connect Lyon's hilltop green spaces and historic sites into a continuous promenade. The park links the Fourvière esplanade to the ancient Roman aqueducts and the Loyasse Cemetery, creating a 2-kilometer ridgeline walk.

• Start from Fourvière: Begin at the basilica and walk south through the park — it's mostly flat along the ridge.
• Combine: End at the Roman aqueducts of the Plat de l'Air for a bonus archaeological site.
