The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) is the largest museum of contemporary African art in the world. Housed in a spectacularly converted 1920s grain silo at the V&A Waterfront, the building itself is an architectural masterpiece designed by Thomas Heatherwick.
Opened in September 2017, the museum was created through a partnership between German businessman Jochen Zeitz and the V&A Waterfront. The adaptive reuse of the historic grain silo by Heatherwick Studio won numerous international architecture awards.
