National Museum of Vietnamese History

Overview

The National Museum of Vietnamese History traces the country's story from prehistoric Dong Son bronze drums to the modern era. Housed in a handsome 1932 French colonial building.

History

Originally the École française d'Extrême-Orient museum, established in 1910. The octagonal building blends French Beaux-Arts structure with Indochinese details by Ernest Hébrard.
