Overview
The Neon Museum preserves and displays iconic Las Vegas neon signs in an outdoor "boneyard" spanning two acres. The collection includes over 250 signs dating from the 1930s to present, documenting the city's visual history.
Highlights
- Neon Boneyard: The main outdoor exhibition features unrestored signs from legendary casinos including the Stardust, Moulin Rouge, and Binion's Horseshoe.
- Brilliant! Show: An evening projection-mapping experience that brings the signs to life with light, music, and narration.
- North Gallery: Restored signs displayed in a climate-controlled indoor space.
History
Founded in 1996, the museum rescued its first sign — the Hacienda Horse and Rider — from demolition. The visitor center is housed in the former La Concha Motel lobby, a 1961 mid-century modern shell designed by Paul Revere Williams.
