Sargento Pimienta is Barranco's legendary live music venue, hosting an eclectic mix of performances ranging from cumbia and Latin jazz to indie rock and electronic sets. Occupying a converted house near the Puente de los Suspiros, it embodies Barranco's musical spirit.
Named after The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper album, the venue opened in the early 2000s and became a focal point of Barranco's musical renaissance. It has hosted countless emerging Peruvian musicians who went on to national and international recognition.
