Parque del Amor

Overview

Perched on the clifftops of Miraflores, Parque del Amor (Love Park) is a small but beloved seaside park inspired by the mosaics of Barcelona's Park Güell. Its centerpiece sculpture of two lovers embracing, by Peruvian artist Víctor Delfín, has become one of Lima's most photographed landmarks.

History

The park was inaugurated on February 14, 1993, inspired by the tradition of couples gathering on the Miraflores cliffs. Artist Víctor Delfín created El Beso specifically for the site, and local poets contributed the romantic verses embedded in the mosaic walls.

• Sunset: The best time to visit for both the light and the romantic atmosphere.
• Malecón Walk: Part of the longer coastal malecón walkway — combine with cycling or walking the full route.
