Overview

Larcomar is a dramatic open-air shopping and entertainment center built directly into the Miraflores cliffs, offering shopping, dining, cinema, and nightlife with sweeping Pacific Ocean views. Its terraced architecture descending the cliff face makes it architecturally unique among South American malls.

History

Larcomar opened in 1998 on the site of former recreational facilities at the edge of the Miraflores cliffs. The Arquitectónica-designed complex was controversial initially due to its visual impact, but has become one of Lima's most recognized landmarks and a tourism anchor.
