Overview

Wynyard Quarter is Auckland's newest waterfront precinct, transformed from industrial tank farms into a vibrant public space with parks, restaurants, and public art. The area was central to Auckland's 2021 America's Cup hosting.

History

The quarter sits on reclaimed land that served as Auckland's industrial waterfront for over a century. The massive redevelopment began in 2011 under Waterfront Auckland, transforming fuel tanks and warehouses into one of the city's most popular gathering places.
