Tāmaki Drive is a scenic coastal road running from the CBD to the eastern bays, popular with walkers, cyclists, and runners. The route passes beaches, marinas, and waterfront parks with continuous views of the harbour and Rangitoto Island.
The road was built in the 1930s along the Waitematā Harbour shoreline, opening up the eastern bays for residential development. It has become one of Auckland's most iconic recreational routes.
