Overview
SkyWalk and SkyJump are two adrenaline experiences based on Auckland's Sky Tower. SkyWalk is a hands-free walk around the tower's pergola at 192 metres, while SkyJump is a controlled 75-km/h base-jump descent to ground level.
Highlights
- SkyWalk: Walk on a narrow outdoor platform around the tower — no handrails, just a harness and 192 metres of air below.
- SkyJump: A wire-guided base jump from the observation deck — you reach 75 km/h in the 11-second descent.
- Views: Both experiences provide angles and perspectives of Auckland that no regular visitor sees.
History
SkyJump launched in 2005 and was the first commercial base-jump facility in New Zealand. SkyWalk followed in 2006. Both activities have been operated safely for over two decades and attract thrill-seekers from around the world.
