Jatiluwih Rice Terraces in Tabanan regency are a UNESCO World Heritage Site covering over 600 hectares of spectacular terraced paddies on the southern slopes of Mount Batukaru. Less touristy than Tegallalang, they offer an immersive experience of Bali's agricultural heritage.
The Jatiluwih terraces have been farmed for centuries under the subak system. Their UNESCO inscription in 2012 recognized both their landscape beauty and the social-ecological sustainability of traditional Balinese rice cultivation.
