Overview
The Jardines del Triunfo are a large public garden on the northern edge of Granada's historic centre, adjacent to the monumental Hospital Real (now part of the University of Granada).

History
The gardens were laid out in the 19th century on what was once an open field outside the city walls. The Triunfo column was erected in 1631 to celebrate the Immaculate Conception.
