Tallinn Seaplane Harbour (Lennusadam) is an immersive maritime experience housed in extraordinary early 20th-century seaplane hangars. Part interactive museum, part adventure — visitors can explore a real submarine, climb aboard a century-old icebreaker, and discover the maritime heritage of the Baltic.
The reinforced concrete hangars were built in 1916–1917 for the Imperial Russian Baltic Fleet. The innovative thin-shell construction technique was revolutionary for its time. After military use through several occupations, the hangars were spectacularly restored and reopened as a museum in 2012.
